Natural Placement:

It refers to the position of a webpage at search engine result pages in an organic way, wihtout paying to search engines to position the result at that spot.

New Visitor:

It’s a brand new visitor who has arrived at your site/blog for the first time. This is a term usually used while analyzing your traffic in web analytics.

Off-Page SEO:

It refers to the search engine optimization work done outside a website. The most outstanding optimization work carried out off-page is increasing the link popularity of a site. In other words, it refers to building links pointing at your site/blog.

On-Page SEO:

It’s a series of optimization works performed to make a site well-liked by search engines. It consists of optimizing elements like title tags, alt tags, meta description, heading, etc inside a website. Unlike off-page SEO, all you do here is inside your website. As there could be lots of manipulation to rank highly at search engines, most of your SEO score comes form off-page SEO, not on-page SEO.

Open Directory Project (ODP):

It’s a directory project, very well-known, edited by a big number of editors. This project aims at organizing the web and categorization of sites. ODP as well as Yahoo directory are the two most valuable directories to be listed in. ODP is free, but requires waiting time to be listed. Yet, it’s highly recommended.

Optimization:

It refers to the series of improving changes you apply to the webpages of your site to upgrade your position at search engines.  It’s a short form of search engine optimization and mainly refers to on-page SEO.

Organic Listing:

The natural listing of a webpage for a particular keyword or more at search engine result pages without paying search engines is referred to as organic listing.

Organic SEO:

Organic search engine optimization is the natural process of SEO by which a site gets to the top of search engines for its keywords without paying them.

Orphaned Files:

They are the files that are found on a server where your site is hosted, but no page of your site has pointed a link to them. If they have no value to link to them from other pages, you can decide to remove them. Removal is better than keeping them.

Outbound Link:

It’s a link from a site/blog to another one. This is the link to introduce, recommend,  etc some content outside your site to upgrade your readers’ information on that particular topic.

Page Popularity:

It refers to the measure of qualitative and quantitative inbound links to a certain page at your site. It’s gained as a result of link building to that certain page.

Page Rank (PR):

It’s an outdated measuring system by which Google used to attribute a numerical score on the scale of 0 to 10 to every webpage of a site. Although Google and SEO experts do not consider high PR a must-have, it still exists at the Google toolbar in form of a bar with a green line whitin it.

Page View:

It’s a measuring system to count the number of times a complete page is viewed at a site/blog. This can be conducted using web analytics softwares like Google Analytics, etc.

Paid Inclusion:

Guaranteed inclusion in the listing of a search engine’s index, which is opposite of natural placement.

Paid Placement:

It’s the same as “Sponsored Links” that you notice at search engine result pages next to the natural (organic) results. They are usually based on cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-thousand (CPM) pricing method.

Pay Per Click:

It’s  a type of serach emarketing in which advertisers pay a set amount of money each time their ad is clicked on. Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc have got such advertising systems.

Position:

It refers to the place a webpage obtains for particular keywords at a search engine (natural placement). Actually, it’s the ranking of a webpage for that word or phrase.

Query:

It refers to a serach for information that is done at a serach engine when a word or set of words are searched for in the index.
