If you want to be a valuable member of the Twitter community, you should be sharing worthwhile information related to your brand, book or business in addition to sharing the links to your own blog posts and products/services.

Where can you easily find other content to share with your Twitter followers?

The answer is quite simple: everywhere.

Here are a few ideas to help you realize the possibilities of finding good content to share on Twitter:

•    Did you just see a new billboard whose message is connected with your business?  If the message is effective in getting your attention, share it with your Twitter followers as an example of effective billboard advertising.  You can even snap a photo of the billboard – not while driving – and tweet the link to the photo.

•    Did you just read an article in your online local newspaper that has valuable info related to your business?  Share the link.  And if you are reading the newspaper in hard copy, you can probably go online and find the same article and share the link.

•    Did you come across an interesting video on YouTube that has info your Twitter followers might appreciate?  Share that link.

•    Have you checked out article directories such as ezinearticles.com and searched by topic for articles of interest?  Share a link to such articles.

•    Did you just read a new post from someone’s blog feed that you get and found the post particularly worthwhile?  Tweet the link.

•    Have you read a book whose information you found useful for marketing on the web?  Share that book’s Amazon page link.

•    Did you just read an interesting article by clicking on a link in someone else’s tweet?  Retweet that person’s tweet with the article link and add your own comment, such as “great article.”

•    While in your favorite local coffee shop this morning did you notice that the shop is now promoting its Twitter account by offering specials only through the account?  Tweet about this and link to the coffee shop’s website.

•    Did you get an email offer of a product or service that you personally know is excellent?  Tweet the link included in the email and add your comment about the product or service.

•    Are you an affiliate for someone’s product or service?  You can tweet that link if you do not overdo the tweeting – and, if possible in the 140-character tweet limit, reveal it is an affiliate link.

•    Did you hear online a teleseminar that you found especially worthwhile and the link is publicly available?  Share that link along with your comment as to the value of listening to the information.
