Yesterday I came across some really weird type of article writing! I’d written and submitted a series of articles recently for my site. I knew a very well-known directory for article distribution. So, I thought to myself why not submitting my recent articles to this directory as well. I logged in to my account and started the article submission. At the end of my work, I happened to see something quite strange. Here’s the story:
Some People’s Attitude toward Article Marketing!
When I completed my article submission, I logged out of my account and left. After some time, when I decided to submit one more article to them from my previous list of written ones, I went to the homepage of the site and saw that my articles are all approved and published. I got really happy and felt very good. Then, all of a sudden I noticed that somebody else has got several articles published on that page and the next page and the next page, …
I thought, “Wow”! She should be one of those professional article writers who write several articles everyday or maybe she’d been in a similar condition as mine. Frankly speaking, I also felt it was a bit fishy too! So, I decided to check out her articles. As soon as I opened up the first one, I realized what was going on. She’d used one of those softwares that says, “Write one articles and get the software to reproduce 1000 UNIQUE articles out of it for you”, “Don’t pay a writer anymore”, “Get lots of backlinks”, “Increase your link popularity in a blink”, etc!
Oh man, believe me, the sentences didn’t make sense at all. Some of these people who allow themselves to be tricked (and enjoy some results), don’t even bother to read what’s been cooked for them in those article magic pans! Now, let’s face it and see why some people accept to do so.
Who’s an Article Written for?
We all know that you write your articles to be read by those who are interested in the topic you’re writing. Those who are proficient enough in SEO article marketing can write with search engines in mind, but consider human readers first in the first place. Smart authors keep in their minds a set of other points as well. For instance, they’re very careful about their author’s bio paragraph and write a great article resource box at the end of their content. They’re even very careful about the links they include there. Have you ever asked yourself why it’s so?
Well, let me tell you. It’s because your author’s bio paragraph is YOUR signature at the end of what you write to be read by human readers. Even if search engines are being deceived today (which is an illegitimate SEO method), fake content will be caught and punished tomorrow. If so-called SEO service providers do this as part of their SEO services, it’s even worse. They’re playing up such dangerous games with their clients’ reputation.
An article isn’t written only to gain higher search engine ranking. It’s not written for you to obtain a better search engine visibility. It’s not only for getting lots of backlinks and increasing your link popularity. It’s about you as an expert in your field who cares for his/her readers. Will you allow yourself or your service provider to put your reputation at stake? So beware of what you’re doing or what your author is doing for you.
Some Steps toward Better Article Marketing
I’m not here to write against all such softwares, because I’ve not tried them all. So, I cannot judge about all of them. I don’t personally use any such softwares for myself or my clients. I do believe that an article could win readers as well as organic SEO service results if it’s created skilfully. Such thing doesn’t seem to be possible without writing genuinely unique appealing content and double checking and proof-reading it. So, here’s what I think you could do to conduct a decent SEO article marketing campaign while maintaining your reputation:
- Think about the entire content you’d like to create first.
- Write your article having your key phrases and topic in mind.
- Create a carefully devised resource box with keyword-rich backlinks in it.
- Proof-read your article when completed.
- Submit that article without reproducing it by any software.
This will introduce you as an expert in what you’re writing while being more likely to get ranked highly in search engines. You will gain real popularity as people will like your content. Who’s going to get your business going at the end of the day? Who will pay you for your products or service? Real people or search engines? So, write for them.

I have a pretty good feeling that I’m not really alone in condemning or at least finding it uncomfortable about the existence of such questionable software and their touted ‘products’. I have come across a lot of such ‘modified’ articles and it felt wrong by just reading them. If you’re lucky or extremely patient you could eventually grasp whatever their intended message. It’s a weird mix of feeling to know that it is somewhat funny, irritating, and some poor sap is going to lose a big portion of his/her credibility. That’s how it is if someone chooses to total artificiality over the organic professional writing services, it will definitely alienate the heck of all of us.
We all know that writing an article is a very personal thing and must be first and foremost to enhance your readers experience. Writing for SEO is not a special thing unless you are looking to cloak texts, stuff keywords and all other related bad SEO habits. While it is true that you should write for your readers first, and then for SEO, why not do both? The whole writing an article process can be complicated and if you follow every single “how to guides” you can find, it will probably take a full day just …
