It’s only with a winning article marketing strategy that you can get higher search engine visibility. Some write to obtain an audience, some are looking for targeted traffic, some try to build backlinks, etc. There could be several different reasons for writing an article, but if gaining a high search engine visibility is in your mind, there’s an interesting method to follow. I want to explain this article marketing strategy to you here.

What Do I Mean by High Search Engine Visibility?

When you’re looking for some information, service or product online, you go to a search engine. Then, you type a set of words (keyphrase) to find it. What you get is a list of (usually) top ten sites as the result page appears. SEO experts say that if you’re not at the first two pages, you’re very unlikely to be found for your keywords. In other words, you’re not seen by enough searchers. So, high search engine visibility means to appear at the first two organic SEO result pages. Of course, the first page is much better and the closer you are to the top of the page, the better exposure you get to your audience.

There’s no doubt that everyone wants to be there, but the competition is too tough. Sometimes 100s of millions and even billions of pages with the same keyword appear in the search engine’s results. Of course, I must say that they’re not all your competitors. You’ll find out about your competitors by conducting your keyword research. Anyway, the point is that you, too, want that high position and want it badly. But, you need to know how to get there!

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the key to get there. What’s important to know is which method helps you out. I don’t want to underestimate some of the techniques or guarantee a method, but I’ve observed and experienced this as a proven article marketing strategy to get higher search engine visibility.

To make this happen, you need to follow the simple procedures I tell you in details here:

  1. Perform a precise keyword research before you write anything.
  2. Select only one keyphrase that you need to get high search engine visibility for.
  3. Use the keyphrase at your title (preferably) close to the beginning.
  4. Use few other words at the tile.
  5. Write a well-optimized article using that keyphrase moderately.
  6. Write a compelling resource box for your article.
  7. Use the keyphrase as a link at your resource box.
  8. Submit it to one single top website.
  9. Use social media sites to enhance the search engine ranking of the article.
  10. Make moderate use of other legitimate methods to create backlinks to the article.

Well, you may ask what the result will be. Here’s the answer: When your well-optimized article is published in a top website like an article directory with high search engine ranking, it will be more likely for your article to show up in the first two pages of search engine ranking. Imagine you go to various article directories and submit it to many of them or even you do a mass article submission using a software or online service. As long as you don’t select that particular website that agrees to publish your article, you won’t get the desired result.

So, here’s the article marketing strategy I’ve explained in short: When a well-known high-ranking website publishes a keyword-rich well-optimized article, it will be a lot more probable that your article gets a high search engine visibility. I should mention this point that the competitiveness of the keyword matters too. If the keyword is very competitive, the likelihood of gaining a high search engine visibility will be reduced or more work would be required.

What Do You Gain?

When people look for your selected keyword, they will find your article published at another website, but chances are very high that enthusiastic readers click on the links provided by you at the bottom of your article to find out more about your company, product or service. Isn’t this what you wanted?

Now, imagine you go through all those steps mentioned above except that you don’t submit your article to that well-known publishing site. Instead, you go to other article directories or use article submission services that target many other minor directories. Do you think you could surpass those sites with high search engine rankings at the first two result pages? Don’t you think your article would fail to attract the potential audience looking for you out there in the search engines?
